Is the NEXT LEVEL USB device... [Resolved]

...erasable? I've been wondering for some time now if the USB of NEXT LEVEL can be erased and re-used like a regular flash drive device? Because I was thinking of looking on eBay or something for one of these rare things, but only if it could be re-used, like my own Ayu flash drive. :lech

I hope this hasn't already been asked before, but if it has, mods please delete~! :thud

no.i remembered someone here said you can't erase ayu's songs and PVs.they are locked

Suteisi 18th December 2009 02:55 AM

That is correct.

It's like the USB is divided in two.

First section is with NEXT LEVEL, PVs, songs and photobook.

Second section is empty space to use as the USB.

I haven't tried, but I've heard others say you can't delete the NEXT LEVEL section off the USB.

^^Ah, thanks for the info. ^.^

EDIT: Oh, so you can actually still use it as a USB? Thanks Neffiline, never mind what I said.

Yes, there is extra space on it n__n

I put several other Ayu albums on there for my friend to transfer on his computer. It works great!

majrakun 18th December 2009 03:25 AM

If you can't erase it, is it possible to at least copy them? Haha.

Kesteral 18th December 2009 03:49 AM

Yeah, my friend accidentally tried to delete stuff off the Next Level part of the USB and got an error telling her that it couldn't be done. The other part of the drive (which is just over a 1G) is free for you to play around with. I lost my regular USB awhile ago, so I've been using this one instead. It works just like a usual USB. The computer will read it as two separate drives, and if you try to do anything with the part with the album it won't work.

I've been using it for school, it works great! There's more then enough space in them for anything else

Rainbow141 18th December 2009 04:25 AM

Cool, thanks guys! >w< I've lost my flash drive more than enough times already, but an Ayu USB would be hard to keep out of sight. :luv2 I heard these things are pretty heavy, though. [that was random. >_> ]

Yes, copy and paste to wherever or whichever computer you want.

@Rainbow: Yes, Ayu's USB is quite heavy actually. It comes with a chain, and I tried to wear it as a necklace once, but it was too heavy for me I didn't like it.

behwatch 18th December 2009 03:01 PM

ya it is heavy. I dont dare to format the whole drive so dunno whether it can be formatted fully. U cant delete the files using normal procedure. U need to reformat/ delete the partitions for a drive. But I dun dare so not sure if deleting partitions works.

yes, you can copy them. i was the first person here who got my copy of NL(it's the first press USB), and i had copied the 4 album tracks to share with everyone.

i can't upload the full album, since my internet upload speed is crap...

gothicayu 19th December 2009 01:04 PM

y_nathz 21st December 2009 07:25 AM
