1st press of RAINBOW
 

I have wondered what exactly is the difference of the 1st press and the regular edition of the RAINBOW album.

Steph , the 1st press editions of RAINBOW comes with the instrumental piece for RAINBOW

at the back of 1st press copies pertaining to the album , it's listed as track 00 & contained a password in order to access a website

Some 7-8 years ago when avex promoted RAINBOW , the track was not included on the CD , but part of the instrumental version was released to the password-only website that was open for a limited time where fans could submit their own lyrics

So yeah you're not really missing that much on anything basically . I think there're some members on here who managed to download/record the RAINBOW instrumental piece , I have a feeling it's not the full version but I could be wrong about it :shrug

THE FIRST PRESS: Comes with a digital download track: 00. Rainbow -- which turns out to be a digital only download for a sample of the song called Rainbow, which is released on the A Ballads album. This is no longer available since the link has been taken down for many years now, This album was released in 2002 (if I am not mistaken).

THE NORMAL PRESS: doesn't come with the track: 00. Rainbow, however it comes will all other tracks.

THE DVD AUDIO PRESS: is basically the same as the NORMAL PRESS, the only difference being that this comes with the Audio the way it would sound as on a DVD that you would watch? This version is extreamly hard to come by.

does all copies have it, or just the 1st press versions ?

^ ONLY the FIRST PRESS VERSIONS will have RAINBOW as track 00.

I bought mine second hand from the fan site section couple months ago. Just wanted it as a collection.

i wonder what the website url and password for it are. I've only ever seen one picture of the back of the first press version and it was a small low quality picture. are they printed somewhere inside the booklet or something?

^ They give you an piece of paper on the inside of the booklet with the website and a passcode.

I never noticed that spot before. XD The back is just all that copy-protected stuff.

Actually the DVD-A also contains the track RAINBOW in addition to the RAINBOW album. In both 2ch stereo and 5.1ch surround.

Oh ok.. I learned something new! I knew there was a DVD audio version but wasn't entirely sure what it was, so I kind of guessed.
