No fan encounters in the US?
 

How come it seems like there's never been any fan encounters in the US?

Did she just divulge more details about her London visit than her LA/NY/Hawaii visits in the past thus making it easier for fans to find her?

Ayu met a Chinese fan when they went to a market for some snacks during the recording of NEXT LEVEL in Los Angeles.

I would say her meetings in the U.S. aren't as big of a deal since people didn't know where she was exactly unlike say London. She tends to keep where she is pretty secret, but I think that she usually stays in the same places in each city.

In New York, she always stays in the Ritz Carlton, so if she says she's gonna go there, people might be able to find her when she says "I'm in New York!" or something. As for Hawaii, I think they stay in a rented out home... like a timeshare, and for Los Angeles, no one really knows, haha.

Her first international trip after starting to blog so often was around NEXT LEVEL, so it makes sense that someone would bump into her at that time... though I think future trips will be documented in her blog and fans might encounter her.

It's like how she was at the Bellagio in Las Vegas in 2009, and no one from Las Vegas popped up to say anything. -sigh- So perhaps it's more that we know she's coming to the USA/is in the USA, but no one really has the time to go out and search/wait for her?

Yea, her blogging, which has increased immensely very recently, helped the whole London thing a lot. If it wasn't for her posting pictures real time practically, we would've never known where her hotel was.

In the past when she's come to the US, she hasn't really blogged much until she was back in Japan or we didn't find out until photoshoots, vivi diary, etc. popped up from her trips.

Also, she really doesn't go to the US that much anymore, it's pretty much Hawaii, except for her LA/Vegas trip for NEXT LEVEL.

thats true she's been blogging a lo more .i wonder why she doesnt come in US as often ? maybe she wants to travel to other places to visit more stuff

Well that all makes sense. Hopefully she'll keep blogging when she comes to the US again and there can be more awesome fan meetings!

I hope she'll come back to Las Vegas/Arizona sometime in the near future. I still can't believe I missed her in ARIZONA. >.<

I would drive hours to meet her. You don't even know. (well yes you guys do, you're all ayu fans (: but you get my point ).

I suppose I never really tried too hard to find her when she came to Hawaii. It would really help though if I knew where she was staying at when she visits (but sadly I usually dont find out about the trip to Hawaii until after she already left).

I don't remember her going to Arizona, only Nevada, Oregon and California in the west.

I used to visit there ALL the time - I was within driving distance of an hour...

She should come to California again...to Disneyland! Or SeaWorld! xD

Not only that...but the US is really REALLY big.

If she came to LA...people would be driving either hours and hours to wait for her, or paying quite a lot to fly to see her lol

...maybe the next time she comes we should like, wait for her...it would be so small, there'd be like 5 of us lol
