^Yea no doubt. I have to say that in general, Kpop > Jpop for many many people in Asia.
It saddened me because it was soooo hard to find a Jpop fan. but even lsat year, I stepped into kpop. And I have strived to maintain both HHAHA.

SNSD is one of the top girl groups in Korea...and they were the TOP artiste last year in Korea..and their infectious tunes and choreo have definitely got something going all everywhere

except that in Japan itself, I would think their own MM and AKB48 are more popular. I mean, it;s THEIR girlgroup afterall

Yeah freedreamer was right :yes
They're so popular in Korea and I think in Asia too
For example, a lot of students love SNSD in my school
I live in Asia :)

They found the girls pretty and have addictive music
You should try them :yes

freedreamer 25th February 2010 02:16 PM

Into The New World + Star Star Star showcase their best.
Gee and Oh show that they are really good entertainers

Tom Punks 25th February 2010 08:54 PM

Genie is definitely their best song. :o

Paparazzi 25th February 2010 10:40 PM

^ Genie is BY FAR my LEAST favorite single of theirs.

I like "Gee" the most followed far behind by "Oh!"

Tom Punks 25th February 2010 10:56 PM

How can you not like Genie? :( It's so awesome.

I really don't like Oh! It's so awkward and to me it totally does not stand out among other recent Korean songs.

Yeah I think Korean music is soo popular nowadays in our country (I live in Jakarta xD)
Maybe it's easier since a local TV channel airing some K-Dramas everyday that attract people to love Korean, then they looking more about Korean artist and find SNSD.
Since last year the most popular Korean band I know in Asia is SNSD, TVXQ, and Super Junior :D

y_nathz 8th March 2010 01:56 PM

^ Yes they are.. *Oh I love DBSK and Super Junior too XD SM Town is love XD*
I live in Jakarta too and all of my friends love K-Pop and I'm trying to introduce J-Pop to them and some of them liked Ayu's music :banana1
