The thing is we don't really know if GEO sampled the songs, if it was done legally. Just one bit of information about any kind of credit that's possibly in Sweetbox's albums would solve to 'big mystery'. You can't really use old songs as you please, you need a licence/permission - unless it's indeed an old folk tune or something that nobody holds copyright for, like you mentioned it could be. Either way, we would just like to know the story behind it.
I'm sure somobody could just look up the credits in Sweetbox album, maybe they actually do credit something/someone.
