I don't like j-rock and I don't like j-pop either.
I don't dislike them, but I just don't listen to them. Ayu is some kind of exception in my music taste.
So I can't answer to the question, how my friends react. Couple of my friends hates j-pop and j-music anyway, but it's pretty same for them, what I listen to.
