They are really popular I guess, but not like hitting to the top of the sky (such as kuu during last two years, or ayu+hikki during 2000 - 2002). I mean, they have a status in jpn music industry (just like B'z). Their albums sales don't fluctuate as much as the other acts (such as ayu, kuu, etc..). I guess their hardcore fans are the mature ones who buy physical cds instead of mp3s, and they are one of the artists who have enough status to avoid release cds with major competitors. That is why you never see their singles/albums beaten by other artists these days.
