She didnt lip-synch if u ask me...I've watched almost all her performances b4, she's not one to lip-synch to save herself from the high notes...and anyway lip-synch is sort of a taboo in Japan if I'm not wrong...with her status she should know better...and about the ritual thingy, if ur a celeb, getting surrounded by people all the time can really get on ur nerves...I guess even Ayu needs a break? Everyone needs to loosen up, juz imagine getting called every now and then to show ur face and stuff...can get pretty irritating for any of us...so even if she really doesnt wanna show up (no proof on that of course), I dun see that as a big deal ^^
