1. Exactly how many times larger is Japan's population compared to Hong Kong's population? (126 million / 7 million = 18 times) So it would be more like 720k vs. 650k. Plus, you're comparing a live and a studio album.
2. His last Mandarin album was released in 2005 so unless you had access to that data...and the last time I checked, he was the 2nd HK artist that won Most Popular Male in Taiwan's Golden Melody Awards (Chinese Grammys)
