Satomi Takasugi is an ex-gravure idol, race queen and current solo singer on avex sub-label Rhythm Zone. She is a former member of the avex girl group wi☆th, with fellow gravure idols/race queens Chinatsu Wakatsuki, Iori and Kana Hoshino. She will be releasing her debut solo single on June 6th. The title track, "tabibito," will be used as an image song for the "
saiyuuki" movie starring SMAP's Shingo Katori starting July 14th.
Max Matsuura has called her the next Ayumi Hamasaki or Kumi Koda on his
blog.
