I agree and disagree with that. Some artists are fully in control of their career, like Ayu is. Like Madonna, I'm sure she doesn't get her ideas for concert costumes and PVs from her staff. I think it all comes from what she likes, from what she's seen. Another example is M.I.A., she's Saudi-Arabian but she was raised in London. Her music has a real island-reggae feel and she's traveled to Jamaica and other Caribbean places for inspiration. So I think the artist is inspired by other cultures and people too.

and I don't think that cover looks like A BEST II at all.
