Great songs that I still love despite their lacklustre/horrid PVs are:
Hamasaki Ayumi - HEAVEN. The PV totally didn't live up to the power of this song. It was a mediocre PV put to a masterpiece.
Hamasaki Ayumi - JEWEL. In truth, I didn't like the PV very much. She just looked really weird.
Hamasaki Ayumi - No way to say. Again, mediocre PV to a masterpiece.
BoA - Winter Love. By far, her best song to date, to one of her most disappointing PVs. I didn't like the way she looked in the PV--her dress was so sheer, and she looked like she just rolled out of bed or whatever that icebox thing was.
Hamasaki Ayumi - vogue/Far away/SEASONS. Those PVs were just downright UGLY. Her dress was NASTY and just everything was...YUCK.
Utada Hikaru - Hikari. What a waste of video. >_<
Angela Aki - Kiss Me Goodbye, Kokoro no Senshi. I can't really blame her too much since these were her first couple, but compared to her newer ones, these were just...bleh.
Ayaka - Mikadzuki. One of her career-defining songs, but the PV-remake was too dark for me to see ANYTHING.
Hamasaki Ayumi - Born To Be... Speaking of not being able to see anything, this one was WAY too bright. Couldn't even make out her face.
Hirai Ken - Bye My Melody. Hideous.
Mr. Children - shirushi. The PV was just...okay. The song was momentous, but the PV was just a bunch of glitter, bare trees, and a whole lot of Sakurai.
