Because people don't buy something just because of a cover but the content counts as well.....Honestly forgiveness didn't impress me that much at all, it's a good song but just that. Comparing to & - 4 wonderful (NEW) songs to 1 good new song plus 2 regular remixes in forgiveness for the same price........I bet some people who didn't buy the forgiveness single but actually liked the song will await for her next album while with & since it was 4 NEW songs (and 1 that will probably not be on the new album) they still decided to buy it because of that. So I'm really not amazed if & sells much much more than forgiveness
