I wanna do a review of First Love as well! Here it is:
1. Automatic - This song is wonderful! Its lyrics are so touching and so cute. The composition as well makes for a great R&B song that was perfect for Hikki's debut.
2. Movin' on without you - This song is so fast-driven and really portrays what the song's emotions are all about really, really well. Also, it's really great to dance to! It's a good revenge-type song that I think is stronger than, say, "Since U Been Gone" by Kelly Clarkson.
3. In My Room - This is such a chill song. I love how relatable it is to high school crushes and such things...it certainly brings back memories. It's really a nice head bopping song, don't you think?
4. First Love - Every artist I listen to has a song that makes me fall in love with him/her, and this is the song that did that for Hikki. This is such an emotional song, and I think it's so amazing that she wrote this at such a young age. The melody, the lyrics and her voice are all enough to make me cry.
5. Amai Wana~Paint It, Black~ - I love the intro to this song and how her fast-paced vocals follow it. This is the type of song I'd listen to on a roadtrip or something...it's so fun to listen to!
6. time will tell - This is the sweetest song on the album. The lyrics are so inspirational and uplifting. It's definitely one of my favorites from this album.
7. Never Let Go - I like the intro...and the music is very calm and chill. It's almost a sad song, because it's about not wanting to lose someone. However, I never really got into it as much as all the other songs. I still think it's pretty good, though.
8. B&C - I love, love, love this song! The lyrics are wonderful and the message is so sweet! I recommend watching her performance from her Hikaru no 5 tour.
9. Another Chance - This song is wonderful, and it really keeps the mood since it directly follows B&C. You can really feel Hikki's emotions in this song and that's what makes it so wonderful for me! I love listening to it.
10. Interlude - This is a really good interlude to set the mood from the previous fast-paced songs to...
11. Give Me A Reason - The intro is beautiful! This song is a perfect finale. It really displays the mood and the theme of young love that permeates throughout this album. It's one of my very favorites.
So, what did you think? I really want to listen to the other 3 albums now and review them. But I'll leave that for another day!
