It's not like ayu only wrote 3 songs, but around 100. It's natural that she'll use certain elements again, specially if the song's about the same experience, person etc.
"Together When..." is like a siblingsong to "Close to you". In "Close to you" ayu sings that she was tought that the unchanging thing is here, while in "Together When..." she sings that it changed after all. Both songs also share the image of searching for the other person after reincarnation.

Yep, that's exactly right. I actually just got done subbing Close to You for XMAS, and then I read these lyrics and they are the exact opposite reflection of Close to You.
