i discovered a lot of different vocalists this year, but those that caught my attention more so were:
-Takasugi Satomi (I am farging in LOVE with her ~ I'm super excited for her debut album! I haven't been as excited for a release in a long while now!)
-alan (good, but not as good as my usual shima-uta peoples. I liked her single though)
-Sa Ding Ding (like holy friggin wow. O_O, although she's not so much about just vocals)
-Rainie Yang (ah, she's cute, her music is cute, and her latest album is a lot of fun!)
-Faith Yang/Yang Nai Wen (I discovered her through her latest album, but I ended up buying two if her older ones as well. She's quite excellent!)
-Wonder Girls (Korean group. They're surprisingly good! Strong, powerful, sexy, classy)
-Girls Generation (Not nearly as good, but the kind of lighthearted pop I enjoy sometimes)
-Ami Suzuki (I downloaded Connetta when it came out. It was cute, no great shakes. But her recent singles have really turned her around. I'm loving this hard dance/electronic pop sound she's been rocking!)
-monkey majik (I think I'd heard some of their stuff before this year, but I didn't really pay attention to them until closer to their collaboration singles came out. They're awesome!)
-KOKIA (I knew of her before, I had some of her material before, not much really, but I'm really starting to get into her now. She's fantastic!)
I'm sure there are more...this is just off the top of my head.
