I wouldn't be surprised if she lip-synced though... she should have lip-synced SURREAL instead of STEP you 'cause it was seriously dreadful to listen through.
I imagine she was also aware that she sounded kinda "BLEH" and probably laughed/made faces and stuff during the performances because of it..

But the thing is, she still smiles and stuff instead of totally bumming out and ruining the performance.. Ayu has been known to perform with injuries and sickness in the past, so it wouldn't surprise me if she was ill or exhausted beyond belief :\

Some of you guys seem to believe that she performs the way she does because she believes it's "good." And because of that, you think that she sucks at lives and shouldn't be doing them because she's just damaging her reputation even further. But perhaps there's something to it. A reason maybe? I dunno if she'll ever say "Oh, I'm sorry for not singing my best", but she's sure giving it her all despite not being able to hit notes too well. I think that's enough to make up for her bad vocals. At least she's performing and not being a grouch about it. [i.e: singing badly AND performing as if she's singing badly]
