Have you considered the possibility that if she were to continue, she might have other reasons? I think Ayu is the most happy when she sees other people are enjoying her music and she feels like she's doing something worthwhile for her fans. And even if she continues with her career for the sake of maintaining popularity, I don't think that's dishonorable. After all, she makes a living out of this. Even though she probably doesn't care about sales as much as she used to I would think it valid for her to not want to lose her popularity all of a sudden. Granted, I personally think she should take a break because it's taking a toll on her health, but if she feels otherwise I will respect her decision.
