*Listening to this song yet again*
I just think this is a fantastic song. The emotion is there... I agree with gakkun about this song sounding older in style. It reminds me of ELT right after they debuted and a few other groups... Reminds me of stuff The Gardens used to put out (don't think anyone knows them.. but they were fantastic!) I think it is some of the best material ayu has released in such a long time. I have been waiting for this sort of release from her for many months. It really turned it up a notch.
As far as BOUNCEBACK, I think this is so different from Greatful Days and Ourselves... As well as anything he's produced for BoA. So I think he did a great job on this song. To me, it sounds like something written by maybe Mitsuru Igarashi.
Ayu's vocals sound very powerful and clear to me. Her voice has gotten deeper because of strain placed on her voice throughout 2000 (the concert tours especially) and 2001. But I think her range is still relatively unaffected. Perhaps time has healed the damage. Vibrato is something developed by experienced singers and is also something I think she uses to save her voice. It's something I rely on when singing under strained conditions, myself. ^^
Overall, probably better than her last two singles because it introduces a totally new style. It's also my favorite song for 2003 so far. LOL I'm that serious about it. ^^
Anyone else think so?
