There are a couple of Linkin Park songs I like. but otherwise I don't see what's so special about them.
Mudvayne on the other hand, is awesome. They love to play in odd time signatures. They are a pretty technical band, not as technical as Meshuggah but close enough. 'The End of All Things to Come' is a brilliant album. Everything on it is awesome. I am glad they decided to drop the whole makeup and costumes thing. So that more people would focus on the music rather than their appearance.
