I personally think she was more poetical about that. So far it seems like her right ear is perfectly normal, though that's more speculation. No details on her diagnosis were given, though, again if we were to speculate, there's a chance it could have been due to Meniere's disease: the pattern of chronic progression, with periods of worsening, affecting only one ear, associated with tinnitus and vertigo, symptoms she has referred before:

If it is, there's "a slight chance" it could affect the right ear too. Let's hope not though.
