Whether you like someone's voice or not, whether you like someone's music or not, whether you think someone's voice will match a certain song well or not, isn't it all a matter of opinion?
In my case, the main thing that turns me off Kumi's music is her voice. I don't think she's a bad singer, I think it's pretty obvious that she sings quite a lot better than Ayu did in the beggining of her career. Her tone just doesn't appeal to me
That's why I'd rather not hear her sing Dearest - not because I hate her, just because if a cover album was released I'd like to hear things that I enjoy.
Aren't people getting a bit defensive here?
