Ayumi Hamasaki - GUILTY
I can't believe her best album since MY STORY stalled at #2! This makes me wonder if there is in fact a huge disparity between what Ayu's overseas and Japanese fans like.

Suzuki Ami - DOLCE
This was, with the exception of a few tracks toward the end, unbelievably solid. She should be right up there with Ayu, Utada, Namie and Koda, but she's sadly not.

Namie Amuro - The Queen of Hip-Pop
Speaking of Namie, she should have returned to prominence with this album instead of waiting for PLAY to put her back in the spotlight. I still like PLAY better, but this was great too. On another note, I also think it's a travesty that Put 'Em Up flopped. If she was an American artist, she would have had a smash hit with that.

Otsuka Ai - Kingyo Hanabi (Single)
How could this NOT have topped the charts?!

MISIA - Eighth World
It wasn't perfect, but it sure is better than some things that have gone to #1.
