I think jpop music listeners (not sure if you're one) might focus much more on vocals, since their artists usually don't make their own music, so they compensate by focusing on vocals.

I really think if she sounded that bad on Destiny Line, it wouldn't have hit the streets. She might not have an amazing vocal range, but with the kind of music she sings, I don't think she needs it anyway. Sure, on lives, her nervousness or whatever gets the best of her and since she also dances, her vocals sound choppy. But on studio recordings, I just fail 100% at seeing he problem, just enjoy the music and all will be fine.

Even if I thought she had a bad voice, she's trying and it's not like she sings songs like "My Heart Will Go On" or something where she would have serious trouble pulling it off.
