I guess the fans here and in Japan both hated it though. It was like, bottom three of songs preferred by TeamAyu. Perhaps that damaged her confidence in composing?

Humming, I understand, but wtf. The bottom 3 actual songs were also excluded from the party that was AT05 too. ;_;
winding road is saved by its good arrangement, but as a composition alone it is very, very amateurish. The melody and chord progressions reek of "trying too hard". In other words, they are musically cliché. I suppose she wanted it to match the cliché lyrics.

Humming 7/4 is at least a little more interesting. It actually has a very nice musical contour. For me what makes it sub-par (the par being CREA's previous compositions) is the cheerleader-esque quality of the chorus melody. But that being said, it's a lot more difficult to convincingly compose an upbeat tune than it is to compose a darker or aggressive one. And most of CREA's previous compositions were dark and/or aggressive.

I think Tru simply means "full songs", of average length, with substantial vocals, and likely to be performed actively rather than passively as scene-change music. Interludes are of course entirely valid pieces of music.
