I think I remember seeing something about a scandal too. I guess that's the concept she meant to use, but people misunderstood it, hence the scandal?
Isn't kinda weird, though? I thought Japan didn't see homosexuality as a taboo as much as other countries. (I think I saw a thread here at AHS called "homesecuality in japan", maybe that can clear things up)
