Thas great advertisement! Her songs are so likable by nature that she can get a lot of fans like that in the US even though oriental music is not that popular.

When I was living with my friends in an off-campus house, we throw a lot of parties because our house/fraternity is known for throwing good parties. My friends absolutely dig "step YOU", its their favorite song from Ayu. So to make our playlist a little bit more unique for one party, they decided to put on step YOU! Also there were a few other asian tracks, a song by recent K-pop band Big Bang, and a few old school Korean songs.

It was only weird because of the reaction of our party guests. They felt it was kinda weird, yet ironically a vast majority of them are Asian
