for the camera thing,
i think it's up to the venue/local security to decide what to do.
last time i went,
i just hung my camera to my belt, i didn't try to hide it.
i let them check my nearly-empty bag.
that guy looked into it for 2 seconds and let me in.
i wanted to bring my camera in so i can shoot the setting before/after the show.
i did that, no one stopped me.
i heard from friends sitting all over the place,
that they saw security bringing ppl out of their seats,
some returned sometime after, some were never seen again.
so please, don't trade your enjoyment with a few pics/vids.
---
since it's a different venue this time, i'm not sure how avex will arrange booths for selling goods,
but i believe it starts around 5pm.
so if you really wanna buy something,
make you're there early in the morning, like 8am or before.
if you have an "Octopus" (the smart-card for transportation in hk),
you can enjoy a discount for travelling on the Airport Express:
1. Use your octopus card
2. get on airport express at any station except airport
3. stay at asia world expo for at least 2 hrs
4. exit at the same station you got on
the most expensive fare for this would be hkd$72 (go+return).
for a normal single/return journey ticket, it's $100 (go+return).
go here for details:
http://mtr.com.hk/eng/airport_express/tf_index.html
asia world expo is very far from the city centre.
for airport express, it's a 30min ride.
for bus, it's 90mins.
so i suggest u all to go on airport express for comfort and less fuss.
make sure you have accomodation.
otherwise, u might have to spend the night in 24hr mcdonalds,
and this wont be nice cos you always have to be on "alert" mode out on the streets.
--------
places to go,
depends on what you are looking for.
generally a short ferry trip across the harbour,
up to The Peak by the Tram in Central.
if you're looking for CDs and stuff like that,
go to MongKok's Sino Centre,
you'll find japanese cds/dvds etc.
which should be cheaper than HMV.
ps. always ask for help if you're confused, we don't bite.
