^I don't think it's sad since most of the top 10 are boy bands and this year's top 10 yearly albums won't look good (because of that and except for some boy bands I don't like the most that are in the top 10). I gave up on female artists popularities because the popular boy bands consume them.
Just last week B'z dropped both ayu and kumi one position down (and GreeeeN might drop kumi down as well).

Let alone singles which in the top 20 best selling singles of 2008 there are only 3 (one is ayu) female artists and 17 boy bands lol.

Sales-wise GUILTY did very well selling over half a million.
Mirrorcle World did extremely well charting and selling more than 3 of her two recent years singles and it even has the highest first week single sales by a female artist for this year.
Both got good weekly and monthly positioning.
Mirrorcle World got her some new records/achievements.
