I think Ayu comes off very classy in this picture. There's nothing wrong with her promoting lingerie. She's a woman & a woman should be the one advertisting it. She shouldn't get backlash for it. She's not a child, so if people criticize they should just consider the facts.
It would be more offensive if she was under 18. A teenager modeling lingerie should get more backlash than Ayu because lingerie has always been targeted for woman not young girls, Ayu hasn't lost any points with me by doing this. I don't find it degrading or low of her. She doesn't need to take off her clothes to get anyone's attention. She's not being skimpy to get noticed. Ayu's a woman, a powerful and strong willed woman. We're not just looking at any ol' model out there, We're looking at Ayumi Hamasaki, one of the biggest artists in Japan. So why would she need to do this for attention? Because her sales aren't what they use to be? Who cares, As long as her fans are happy with what she's bringing out and Ayu's happy with where she is, then all is good. Some people love her, & other people don't, which is fine. But no one can deny the success she has had. She going to noticed no matter what she's doing. She doesn't need to take off anything to get attention.
And if she wasn't as popular as she use to be then why is she still doing Arena Tours? She is still putting on big, extravagant shows each year.
Her concerts are always full & sold out. The demand is still high for her. So if that's not popular then I don't know what is?
Ayu's always so busy with Concerts from her recent Arena Tour, upcoming Asia Tour, a-nation and the usual CDLs. Rehearsing, Filming Pvs, Cms, and regular photoshoots for magazines, in the studio recording songs, writing songs, Ayu's very hard working for the past 10 years non stop to be exact.
It nice to see a softer side of Ayu (even though I know it's still work --> modeling lingerie) And I'm not talking about soft as in the skin either. Its still nice to see Ayu relaxed, happy, she doesn't look so tired. In the making videos she seemed rather happy
And as long as Ayu's happy where she is I'm happy too. I'll support Ayu in whatever she does. She's an admirable woman and very smart. She wouldn't of done this if she thought it would of had a negative effect on her career or image.
And as far as the youtube comments Some people are just ignorant.
