Same goes for me. I strongly disliked Ai's voice and music (even now I'm still a little iffy on her vocals) before, but her ballads won me over big time. I've learned to appreciate some of her happier songs like CHU-LIP and Ramen 3-pun Cooking, but I still prefer her ballads or non-happy-go-lucky material.
