I don't feel the same with J-Pop but I feel the same with Western Music. Everything sounds a rip off of each other, they're always doing "catchy music" to sell like crazy and forget about the quality of that. See Madonna? She worked with the ridiculous (sorry fans but) Timbaland, Justin Timberlake and others, and got a fuzzy album. Serious, WTF was that? The quality of her music was totally lost for me. I miss American Life days.
Well, as an opinion, give a try for K-Pop and C-Pop music. They maybe the style you like.
