In general, I agree with this statement. Pretty much all of it I agree with (the whole part about older fans and newer influenced fans), but I have to disagree with the last part. I mean, I'll agree that it's irritating if a newer influenced fan trashes very prolific albums just because they are biased towards their tie-in (as in, the songs were featured on anime and games and such) albums; however I think it's fine that people may not like those albums, even if they've only been a fan for a while. For example, I've been a fan of Hikki's for over 7 years now and I'm not a huge fan of First Love (the album). It's one of my least favorites, actually.

And I have to severely disagree with saying that HEART STATION heavily borrows from First Love and Distance. First Love has no album that sounds like it (it's so 90s R&B) in the least, so I don't personally see ANY similarities; and Distance is different as well. I would say that HS sounds more like Distance that First Love, but I still don't see a lot of similarities.


EDIT: Oh, and what's the story behind Final Distance?
