Because they are from Kansai(=Western Japan)? (Kinki is a region in Kansai. Kyoto and Osaka are located there, among other cities.) Shachou said that "z" is cooler than "s". xD That's why it became Kanzai. And Boya means "child" or "(little) boy".

So the name was kind of the same as now. LOL
