I don't know about Australia, Canada, and the UK, but Coco Lee didn't successfully break into the American market. And that's a whole different ball game. Nobody has any idea who she is here, and those who do will only know her as "that girl who sang that song at the Oscars from
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon".
BoA is attempting something quite different, much more mainstream.
