The Saturdays on Hollyoaks
Pop band The Saturdays are set to guest star in an episode of Late Night Hollyoaks to be screened in November on E4. The Saturdays are a five piece girl band who supported Girls Aloud on their stadium tour and have recently taken the charts by storm with their first single If This Is Love, which reaching number eight in the singles charts.
It's The Battle of the Bands competition and Hollyoaks student band, The Dirty Diegos are chasing their dream of making it big. As the band prepare to take to the stage they run into The Saturdays, who are headlining the gig.
Drummer Rhys (Andy Moss) does his best to chat the girls up, much to their amusement, while the other members of the band try to overcome their first night nerves and find themselves bickering amongst themselves. Josh (Sonny Flood) has upset the other members of the band and it is down to one of the members of The Saturdays to persuade The Diegos' keyboard player Sasha (Nathalie Emmanuel) to overcome her fears and give it her best shot.
As the competition heats up, The Dirty Diegos take to the stage and after a hesitant start they pull off a great performance but will it be enough to snatch the award?
Lucy Allan, Producer of Late Night Hollyoaks said: "We are very excited to have The Saturdays on board and can't wait to hear their performance – I am sure that they will teach The Dirty Diegos a thing or two!"
The Saturdays said: "We're really excited about being in Late Night Hollyoaks because we love the show! We are a bit nervous though about performing in front of the cast!"
The scenes involving The Saturdays will be filmed at a Liverpool club over the next couple of weeks. Late Night Hollyoaks will be screened on E4 in November.
