This is probably the best interpretation I've read for ANY PV, hands down.

What I really like about the title, Mirrorcle World, is that not only is this technological advancement a miracle and a miracle world into itself, it literally does mirror our world -- it's an imitation image without the depth or the actual "soul." Ayu was damned clever when she called it Mirrorcle World.

ETA: Wow, there was a lot of wank and hatin' in this thread...

It's fine if people want to see it as something shallow or just "fun," but I think it's pretty insulting to say that someone is spending way too much time on thinking of the PV this way or that they're somehow wrong for even wanting to. Personally I think it's a shame that someone would want to limit themselves to an interpretation that's just "her running around Paris, random, nothing else at all." Are you thinking this way just so you can complain about how the PV sucks because it isn't up to your individual standard? That's the impression I get.

Don't get me wrong, it really is fine if you don't agree and if you aren't convinced, but it makes me wonder why some people would so adamantly reject any type of explanation that isn't from the artist his or herself. Rarely do artists ever come out and tell people what their songs mean possibly because they realize that it'll take so much away if they give a concrete, 100% answer. People can choose to see what they want to see and think what they want to think about a video or a song, and consequentially, they can choose that they don't see something, even though others do. That's the beauty of interpretations and to suggest that anything but a definite answer from the creator is somehow insignificant is kind of ridiculous. You show me an artist or a musician that wants everyone who hears their music or sees their art to be viewed one way and one way only (i.e., their own) and I'll show you an amateur who just doesn't get it.
