I was thinking the same exact things. It doesn't sound very different than before, really. I don't know why everyone was acting like it was way darker and less pop-ish and everything. And the description of "marionette + part of Me" threw me off completely and tremendously got my hopes up..
But, it's okay, because I like the song anyway. I just don't agree that it sounds anything like those descriptions. I think people were only saying it sounded "darker" because the verses are sung deeply - the chorus is the same as the Panasonic CM. I LOVE the asian instruments playing in this - reminds me very much of alan.
I can see the music fitting perfectly with the PV. I don't know yet if I'll like the song alone, like, me just listening to the song - but I know I'll enjoy the PV + the song, if the PV is good.
