That's exactly my story. I bought some of her later albums at that time (MA and rainbow) and i was just going "yeah nice songs". At least the instrumentation was tons better than the hip-hop and rap floating around. Then i decided to get AT05 and CDLs04-05 & 05-06. After a 6hr concert marathon, i becamse a roaring fan. I didn't even know any of her earlier songs like SURREAL or TO BE until watching the concerts.
