For what its worth, I think she looks very sexy but in a good way. I think boa can pull off anything. Its true, america is more about sex appeal, but boa is just trying this (possibly just a try?) who knows, maybe she will do other styles later. For now, this is what works pretty well here, I don't think it downgrades her at all. It's like a business, and you are a product of talent with the added bonus of good looks. Look at the most popular singers in many countries, they have done (or do) their sexy thing, but they do other styles too, it's not a big deal, in stead of testing out what works best for them in private or in front of a few, it happens to be in front of us all
