@Jbrat2219: Yes I gave up and continued with 100% focus on Japanese instead xD (mandarin) Chinese is hard, and not as interesting for me as Japanese.

No you misread ^__^ the article says Ayu yelled "I
can hear you!" to make sure her fans know that she can still hear them even though she's deaf in one ear
I think it's very sweet of her.
