That varies from DJ to DJ really... but basically, remixes go like this:
01. Extended/Club/Vocal mix: The full version of a remix, as a DJ has usually intended it to sound. Usually between 6 and 10 minutes long.
02. Instrumental mix: Same as above, but with the singer's vocals taken out (usually just the lead vocals; samples & echoes usually remain)
03. Dub Mix: Usually a similar length to the full remix, but perhaps a bit shorter. Vocals are only selectively "dubbed" into the track, rather than it being a remix of the whole song. Sometimes the arrangement or some instruments are changed. Sometimes there's VERY little change from the Extended version, sometimes it's an entirely different piece of music. Again, it varies from DJ to DJ really.
04. Radio Edit: A severely shortened version of the Extended/Club/Vocal mix. Usually cut down to 3-5 minutes so it fits more easily on a remix album CD, and of course, so it can be played on the radio during the album's promotion.
There are other edits that happen too - acappellas sped up to fit the speed of the song, vocal-and-drums-only mixes, and even just drums-only.... or new pieces of music based on the samples & melody of the original remix. These are intended for other DJs to use (as segues during non-stop sets and such) rather than for casual listeners to just sit & listen to.
