No you don't understand. The plot itself is NOT bad. Rather, it's the plot being executed poorly during that scene. Also, you can't deny that she's really bad in acting... really bad. If the director is good enough, he would have told ayu that the exaggeration was unnecessary. But he didn't do that. He just let ayu being in that way. I know ayu does have lots of controls on her own right now. But it's the director job to tell whether the acting/dancing/scene being executed in the right way.
And it has nothing to do with focusing on Asian Market. It is not about geography. It's about a pv with a plot being poorly executed and with lots of nonsense within.
