As a spanking new network, MTV Iggy somehow gets to cover whatever cool **** we want – that’s what happens when global pop culture and music is your forte. Okay, truth be told, there aren’t that many of us behind the scenes and the bosses here actually dig us trying out new ideas – so when we heard that the BIGGEST pop star in Asia was trying to make it in the U.S. right alongside Beyonce and Rihanna, we knew we had to be all over it.

BoA is old hat to fans in Asia, particularly Korea and Japan, but the U.S. really hasn’t seen a pop star like this in awhile. That’s because when I say pop star, I mean POP STAR. The girl got her start accompanying her bro to a talent competition, and everything from her dancing skillz to the breakfast she eats is carefully overseen by Korean management and production company, S.M. entertainment (read: pop-making machine).
