And I hear one particular outdoor gig has taken a brilliant new twist — with Coldplay adding GIRLS ALOUD as their main support act at Wembley.

Gig insiders reckon the deal is being signed and sealed this week.

The source said: "Coldplay are huge pop fans.

"They love Take That and all the mainstream chart stuff.

"Girls Aloud are the ideal support group. They will get the Wembley crowd worked up into a frenzy before the main attraction.

"CHRIS MARTIN is a fan and had them on his wishlist from the start of tour plans."

More Coldplay dates are being announced on Friday, with tickets going on sale at 9.30am.

I would stick my mortgage on the big date with CHERYL COLE and her bandmates landing on Friday September 18.
