Hah! That is interesting! I think in a way, she is kinda saying "See, I don't need you anymore, I'm AYUMI HAMASAKI and this is who I am!" Seeing as how she turned it into her ten year anniversary symbol, which I happen to really like.
I just think it's interesting because she never mentioned that she actually had that done, did she? She just did it, didn't tell anyone, then shows it off to surprise us.
