So she's finally crossed the 100k mark. That's great. I don't know why most of you are comparing tho. So ungrateful.

Her index isn't any different from MW's index. IIRC, Ayu had a index of 3000 two times in her 1st week. So be thankful she hasn't dropped to that point or below. Besides, weren't most of you saying that she'd at least pass the 100k mark?

She did already so quit the whining and be happy that ur prediction came true.

PoL might've been a dumb example as it was a recut but some people still think that MW is a recut (I don't tough) and even tough it didn't have a major jdrama to back it up it sold better physicly even tough the song wasn't a big hit like PoL was, simply because it had good bonuses and it didn't look cheap.
And don't worry you won't see a fresh material from Hikki (in Japan) unless there is a new ultra popular drama coming on as she doesn't seem to make music for any other reason the last 2 years, so there will be nothing to compare in a while, I'm afraid

See that's the point. You're using two singles that had two different versions to 2 singles that had only one version. =/ People had an extra incentive to buy Ku/Ayu's single while people thought they'd benefit more by just buying the HS instead of the single. Although some people considered MW as an recut single, it had a new song and a old ayu hit that was resung while POL simply had a remix. And again, you really can't compare this one either. As MW had for 4 versions w/ bonuses and POL only had one version w/ zero bonuses.
As for the last part, it's about promotion hun.

Without all the extras that was given to consumers who brought MW, those sales that MW racked up would have been way lower. Besides, at least Hikki can sell without throwing 2 to 5 different versions of one single just to get people to buy the single.

Kuu's only had a few singles that crossed the 100k mark its first week so we really can't say that she's struggling as her 1st week sales are between 60k to 110k. As for YUI, she's never had a single to cross the 100k mark so she's not struggling at all. Also, her singles usually crosses the 100k mark overall which imo is great for her because she doesn't really struggle to cross the 110k mark. Heck she even beat one of Ayu's singles last year which is great.
