And that's just sad because it is such a better single. Two PVs, neither of which are terrible, one of which is quite good. And two really good songs.
Lots of promo was done for this single so the sales can't be blamed on lack of promo. She also had 4 different covers and absolutely zero competition on the release date.

This single really demonstrates her diminishing popularity - it should have sold much better than it did.

It's a mini hiatus for her. She did all that plus much more in other years.

She only held a concert on one of the days (if I remember correctly) and 16,000+ plus sales on one day do not happen at a concert (especially when the venue capacity is far lower than that and most people who were at the concert would have already bought the single anyways). They also always sell her singles and albums outside of the venue, but do you ever see it significantly effect her chart standings? The other day of some 12,000+ sales is completely unaccounted for. There were some other unknown factors at work in order for her to get that #1 - but no one can say what it was for certain.
