A lot of girls (particularly in Asia) use circle lens,
there's a dark circle to make your eyes appear larger.
Of course, it depends what model you buy.
Barbie Black (BIGGEST one) will obviously make them look MUCH bigger.
"Normal" circle lens will be more natural ^^
If you don't want to use contacts, there are eyeliner techniques that you could try too~

I think Ayu's eyes don't look as cute in the second picture because she's looking up,
and she looks pale too, because of the flash perhaps.
In the first one, it's nicer because she's looking straight at the camera so you see less of the white part
