okay....but I still don't understand what that has to do with a PV being good or not.
I understand that there are differences between the cultures. I think almost everyone at this forum understands that at least, or they probably wouldn't be here.
That being said, I think it's kind of rude to say that us in America would expect certain things like hip hop dancing and big boobs in a music video.
I think that trying to use the fact that "oh they just don't understand Japanese Culture" as a defense to why we don't like the PV, is not only comical, but very immature.
And besides, I don't recall anyone saying that the PV was bad because it had Asian motifs and symbols.
Besides, I couldn't care less if someone was Asian, European, American, or from Antarctica. Great art can come from anywhere, it isn't cultural at all, and doesn't take people from specific cultures to appreciate it.
I understand that cultures can have histories and biases to certain things, but that argument does not work here at this forum, and it never will, because imo, one of the very special things about all (or mostly all) of AHS's members, is their ability to see and know when something is great, beyond all that superficial crap.
And it's one of the reasons why we all love Ayu.
